A one-armed MMA fighter extended his three-fight winning streak with a brutal first-round knockout over the weekend.

Brazilian fighter Marney Maxx secured his sixth victory in MMA by beating fellow competitor Esterferson Da Silva in spectacular fashion.

Maxx has previously earned recent wins in the octagon with a heel hook submission against Gustavo Javier Mercado and a head kick, but nothing compared to his latest blow.

A fast start to Maxx’s contest saw Da Silva fly out the blocks and attempt to gain control against his one-armed opponent.

However, Maxx wasted no time in unleashing his deadly combination of a head kick followed up by a powerful jab that rocked his opponent.

He finished the contest with a massive right-hand that caught the Brazilian sweetly on the chin, sending him to the canvas and briefly getting back up again only to be knocked out with a follow-up hook.

The referee stopped the bout with over a minute remaining in the opening round as the inspiration combat sports star gained another victory against the odds.

Footage of the knockout quickly went viral with fans amazed at Maxx’s fighting ability who continues to be a devastating fighter despite his disability.

Maxx was born with a congenital amputation of his left arm but hasn’t let that stopped him pursuing a career in one of the world’s most brutal sports.

Growing up in Fortaleza, Brazil, Maxx originally trained in Kung Fu but struggled and later turned his attention to establishing a career in MMA.

‘I started in kung fu and didn’t do well,’ Maxx told MMA Fighting in 2022.

‘I was knocked out, people would drop me, and I had a hard time breathing.

‘Then I began training Muay Thai and won everything, but still wanted more.’ 

His most-recent win gives him an impressive record of 6-4 and fans are now calling on Maxx to be given a chance on a bigger stage.

‘That’s it, sign him to the UFC @danawhite,’ said one comment in response to Maxx’s knockout on X.

Another supporter similarly applauded Maxx, adding: ‘What an incredible comeback from Marney Maxx, the determination is awe-inspiring.’
