Fans hail trailer for Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s rematch as ‘the best promo video EVER’ ahead of heavyweight showdown later this month

Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will go toe-to-toe for a second time in Saudi Arabia on December 21

  • Tyson Fury and Usyk are set to face each other in a rematch on December 21
  • A two minute trailer has been released ahead of the heavyweight showdown

Fans have taken to social media to laud the trailer for the upcoming heavyweight showdown between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury

Usyk became the first undisputed world champion of the four-belt era in May, stripping Fury of his WBC title to write his name into the history books as one of boxing’s all-time greats.

The pair will go toe-to-toe for a second time in Saudi Arabia on December 21, with the Gypsy King seeking revenge.

To get the fans in the mood for the clash, a new horror movie-like trailer has been released.

The two-minute clip shows Usyk and Fury appearing in each other’s daily lives with the fight being the main event on their minds.

Fury gets spooked out on multiple occasions when Usyk face appears as a nurse, police officer and even a little girl.

Fury’s dad, John, even makes an appearance at a caravan site with the former finally about to snap back into reality.

The pair finally phone each other and Usyk says: ‘Hey Tyson. We need to end this’ and Fury responds ‘I am going to end you.’

Towards the end of the clip the two heavyweights finally meet in the ring, but one final twist follows as the referee reveals his face of half Usyk’s and half Fury’s.

In the dying seconds of the trailer, Fury screams as Usyk appears on his belly.

Fans have taken well to the trailer, with one posting on X: ‘One of the best promos ever.’

Another said: ‘Felt like I was watching a movie’, while a third added ‘This is the best official promo video ever’.

‘Budget for this is probably bigger than the combined fighter pay of UFC events’, a fourth fan posted.

Fury has maintained a low profile as he continues to work through an intense training camp alongside trainer SugarHill Steward.

His previous defeat saw Fury outclassed in the ring by Usyk who again delivered on his underdog status and displayed incredible athleticism to negate the pair’s height and reach distance.

But, Fury looks set to make the most of his size advantage against Usyk with the 36-year-old looking to have packed on serious muscle mass ahead of the mouthwatering contest.

The Wythenshawe-born boxer has been recruiting a vast array of sparring partners in preparation to take on Usyk, with Kevin Lerena amongst those hired by Fury’s training team.

The duo went toe-to-toe in a series of intense sparring sessions and the South African shared an image of the pair standing side-by-side afterwards, with Fury’s giant figure taking fans by surprise.
