Liverpool may have dropped a hint about their intentions with their golden out-of-contract trio in their 2025 calendar.
Arne Slot‘s side are sweating over the futures of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Trent Alexander-Arnold with none of them having signed an extension beyond June.
Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Alexander-Arnold while Salah has been the subject of flattering glances from Saudi Arabia.
And a particular detail in Liverpool’s 2025 calendar, selling for £10.99, could be a giveaway.
Each of the trio have a month dedicated to them in the first four of the year and are not featured beyond April.
At the least, it appears to signal that Liverpool are not certain enough about their futures to include them on months beyond June, when their current deals expire.

The trio are all featured in the first four months of the year, perhaps indicating that Liverpool are not confident of them staying on beyond June
Salah has been linked with a Saudi move, while Real Madrid reportedly want Alexander-Arnold
Alexander-Arnold is assigned to February, Salah to March, and Van Dijk to April.
However, other players whose futures have been debated such as Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez are on the calendar beyond the summer.
Uruguayan striker Nunez, who has three goals this season, is the star for November, while Gomez, who has ben limited to two starts, is featured in December.
The other players on the calendar are Alisson (January), Andy Robertson (May), Federico Chiesa (June), Dominik Szoboszlai (July), Alexis Mac Allister (August), Cody Gakpo (September), and Luis Diaz (October).
Madrid are reportedly considering a swoop for Alexander-Arnold in January, when he will be able to start negotiating with foreign clubs.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid are said to view Alexander-Arnold as a ‘sure thing in the summer’ when his contract expires, but they are claimed to have held meetings about trying to sign him in January.
Madrid need defenders urgently. Right back Dani Carvajal, who came fourth in the Ballon d’Or vote, will miss the remainder of the season due to an ACL injury suffered in October.
They were hit by a further blow with Eder Militao suffering a season-ending ACL injury recently, while David Alaba is not expected to return until the New Year following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Van Dijk did not give much away when asked about his future at the club back in October
Arne Slot will be hoping his side’s impressive form can convince the stars to renew their deals
Meanwhile, Salah has long been linked to a move to the Saudi Pro League, an abundantly moneyed destination which has attracetd world stars on humongous contracts – look no further than Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar on £130million per year.
Van Dijk has been less linked elsewhere but did offer an update in October, albeit rather short: ”’m feeling very good, physically and mentally. I’m in a good place and yeah nothing more can be said, I just want to keep enjoying the game.’
