Tim Tszyu breaks his silence following devastating defeat to Bakhram Murtazaliev as he lifts lid on future plans

A defiant Tim Tszyu has vowed that he will ‘keep going’ but admitted he has to find ‘plenty of answers from myself’ following his defeat by Bakhram Murtazaliev on Sunday afternoon.

The Australian fighter has now lost his last two fights, with Tszyu being knocked to the canvas four times during Sunday’s clash, before his team threw in the towel during the third round.

Having missed out on a chance to clinch Murtazaliev’s IBF super welterweight title belt, Tszyu was left stunned after the fight, claiming he did know what had happened in the ring.

Questions have mounted over where Tszyu goes next in his career following the devastating defeat, with some even calling for him to retire.

But on Monday, the Asutralian boxer reflected once again on the defeat, claiming he will regroup and be back to fight again.

‘Look, it is what it is,’ Tszyu said.

‘I got caught with a shot and just couldn’t move on.

‘Kept getting up but that wasn’t good enough.

‘Congrats to my opponent on a tremendous performance. But yeah, we move on, regroup and my team will be back.

‘Thank you to PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) and No Limit for always supporting me no matter what.

‘Again I will be back and still be in big fights soon.

‘But now I’ve got to find plenty of answers from myself, of course.

‘The main thing my dad told me from when I was young was to never give up.

‘If you shoot for the stars and you crash and burn along the way, just keep going. And I’m going to keep going.

‘Thank you all.’
