Arsenal are considering a move for Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia as Ajax ponder a fresh approach for Aaron Ramsdale.
David Raya has long established himself as the No 1 shot stopper at the Emirates under Mikel Artea, displacing Ramsdale last season after joining on loan from Brentford.
Raya has now joined permanently and that position is showing no signs of changing, leading to Ramsdale likely needing to look for a new club if he is to enjoy regular first team football again.
Ajax had a request to take Ramsdale on loan rebuffed but are weighing up a new offer.
A number of other Premier League sides, including Southampton and Newcastle, have also been linked with Ramsdale’s services.

Garcia, 23, meanwhile, has played for Espanyol his whole career and could be set for the next step in joining up with last season’s Premier League runners up.
He has played 29 games for the Spanish club in total, playing just three times in LaLiga. It’s possible that Arsenal would look to buy another goalkeeper alongside Garcia were Ramsdale to leave.
Garcia would be tha latest addition to what has been a succesful summer so far for Arsenal, who have signed Riccardo Calafiori and Raya permanently so far.
In terms of outgoigns, Emile Smith Rowe is the only senior player who has left permanently, joining Fulham for a £27million fee.
