Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard impressed fans by showing off his hand speed in a new Instagram video.
Leonard, 68, proved that age did not affect his activity and hand speed as he wrote: ‘Starting off the week in beast mode!!’
The montage includes clips of him hitting the speed bag and mitts. Leonard also flashed pictures of him at the height of his career and swung the battle ropes in the short video.
‘Champ hand speed still crazy,’ one fan wrote with a goat emoji.
‘You still are top shape!’ Another added.
Fans praised Sugar Ray Leonard after showing off his hand speed at 68 on Instagram
‘That jab tho,’ a third commented. ‘Still have that Ritmooooo.’
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: ‘Still got the moves Ray the legend!’
Leonard’s career was highlighted by fights with Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler.
His rivalry with Roberto Duran is also one of the most iconic in boxing history. Duran handed Robinson his first loss in 1980. The American then evened the score by scoring a TKO over his rival in the rematch later that year.
The pair closed their trilogy in 1989, with Sugar Ray earning a unanimous decision.
Robinson lost to Terry Norris in 1991 and took a hiatus from the sport. He returned to the ring in 1997 and was TKO’d by Hector Camacho before calling it a career.
Robinson retired with 36 wins, three losses, and 25 victories by knockout.
